Randolph is proud to have sponsored the world’s first transcontinental biofueled flight, which was a complete success! Pilot Ross McCurdy and son Aedan are safely back home in Smithfield, RI after completing their 10 day trip to Santa Monica, CA, with stops made in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, Arkansas, and Arizona. The flight marked the first transcontinental flight and round trip completed in a light aircraft powered by biofuel, which was made with a blend of renewable Camelina plant seed oil.

McCurdy hopes that the flight helped demonstrate the potential for green energy solutions in aviation. We are proud to have helped the McCurdys, along with co-pilot Alex Schenck, complete this historic voyage.
